Medical Officer for Grey Bruce worried about reduced healthcare visits

The Medical Officer of Health for Grey Bruce is concerned about the reduced number of visits to many hospitals and physician offices since the pandemic began.

Healthcare providers are concerned that people with serious or life-threatening health issues may not be seeking the help they need.

Dr. Ian Arra said anyone concerned about a change in health or in need of ongoing care for a chronic condition, should contact their primary healthcare provider because delays can be risky.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency Departments are operating as usual, and your family physician can talk to you on the phone for a consultation.
