Foundation donates to local hospice

The Howard J. Rees Foundation is helping the Chatham-Kent Hospice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The foundation recently donated $25,000 to the hospice to help with ongoing operating expenses.

"We are very grateful for this generous donation. What a wonderful gift to receive during such uncertain times," said Jodi Maroney, Executive Director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. "Even through a pandemic, our staff continue to provide compassionate care to our residents and their families. This is only possible because of the generosity of our donors like the Howard J Rees Foundation."

The hospice needs $106,000 in donations each month to support operating needs. Since opening in April 2016, the hospice has served over 775 families at no cost to them.
