Three more COVID-19 cases linked to Vision Nursing Home

Three more cases of COVID-19 are linked to an outbreak at a long-term care home in Sarnia.

Lambton Public Health said since Saturday night, one more resident and two additional staff members at Vision Nursing Home have tested positive for the deadly virus, bringing the total to 225 in the community.

Since an outbreak was declared at the home on April 23, 14 residents and 10 staff have been confirmed to have the novel coronavirus. Four of Sarnia-Lambton's 19 COVID deaths have been linked to the facility.

The health unit said there's been no changes with the recent outbreaks at Marshall Gowland Manor and Village on the St. Clair.

The number of recovered cases remains at 163.

Monday, Bluewater Health reported that there's five patients currently in hospital with confirmed COVID-19, 14 are suspected of having the virus with test pending.
