The Township of Mapleton has announced it has reopened a few outdoor areas amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Mapleton announced in a release on May 19 that all open park spaces, tennis courts and trails are now open. The township is stressing a continuation of social distancing measures when using these spaces. They are also reiterating that playgrounds, ball diamonds, skate parks and splash pads remain closed for the time being.
Additionally, all township facilities remain closed indefinitely, including the municipal office, all community halls/arenas and the Moorefield Optimist Hall.
