Patriots forward Cribbin named OHA Junior C Player of the Year for 2019-20

The Ontario Hockey Association has named Mount Forest Patriots forward Ryley Cribbin as the 2019-20 OHA Junior C Player of the Year.

A native of Drayton, Ontario, Cribbin shredded the scoring charts this year, putting up a career high 86 points (39 goals, 47 assists) to lead the Patriots and the PJHL Pollock Division in scoring, eclipsing his previous career high of 54. Cribbin was just a point shy of the PJHL scoring lead, just behind Napanee's Evan Foley with 87.

2019-20 was Cribbin's 4th season with the Patriots, and in the previous three he helped lead the team to 3 straight Pollock Division titles. He and the Patriots were once again in the Pollock Division Final against Wingham before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Cribbin is in the midst of an electrician apprenticeship and is now employed by the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers.

This marks the second straight season that a Pollock Division player has been named the OHA Junior C Player of the Year, after Wingham's Carter Collinson received the award last year.
