LPH reports two more recoveries, one new COVID-19 case

Two more people have recovered from COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton and one more person has contracted the virus.

Lambton Public Health updated its website on Saturday night to show 263 cases and 200 recoveries. The death toll remained the same at 22.

Outbreaks are ongoing at Vision Nursing Home, and Lambton Meadowview Villa. There are 49 confirmed cases at Vision, 25 residents and 24 staff. One staff member has tested positive at Lambton Meadowview Villa.

Vision residents who are currently positive were recently moved to Bluewater Health.

A total of 6,500 tests have been conducted, with 96 per cent coming back negative.

Saturday marked the first day of drive through COVID-19 testing in Sarnia and Petrolia.

As of Saturday morning, Bluewater Health is reporting that 13 patients are currently in hospital with confirmed COVID-19, and 23 patients are suspected to have the virus with tests pending.
