A heat warning is in effect for Windsor Essex and Chatham Kent.
Environment Canada issued the warning Monday afternoon with extreme heat in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. The Medical Officer of Health for Windsor-Essex has also issued a heat warning.
A hot air mass approaching the area is expected to bring daytime temperatures in the low 30 C range over the next couple of days. Meteorologists say the humidex value will increase Wednesday and are expected to reach the mid to high 30s.
Temperatures are expected to cool off by Wednesday night.
