CK Association of Realtors donates to CKHA Foundation

The Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors is helping the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with its fight against COVID-19.

Recently, the CK Association of Realtors (CKAR) provided $2,800 in support of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation to assist frontline services.

The funding is part of a $480,000 donation made by the Ontario Real Estate Association, distributed by the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation, that will be distributed to shelters, food banks and shelter-based charities.

“The unprecedented impact of COVID-19 has been felt around the world, including in our local community of Chatham-Kent, with migrant workers being disproportionately affected,” said Michael Gibbons, CKAR president. “Here in the community of Chatham-Kent, we have been proud to partner with CKHAF, and have witnessed first-hand the tremendous work they do to support our hospital. We hope that this donation will help them continue to flatten the curve.”

The donation is being redirected from Ontario Real Estate Association's one-time $5 million dollar grant to the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation made earlier this year, facilitating a faster and direct distribution of funds at a time of need.
