Municipalities get set to open many amenities for Stage 3

With much of the province moving into Stage 3 of the COVID-19 reopening Friday, local municipalities are opening a number of different amenities while cautiously keeping others closed.

Kincardine is opening all playground equipment to the public as of Friday. The Davidson Centre will remain closed for now, with a reopening plan for the facility slated to be reviewed in August. The Municipal Administration Centre is preparing for reopening by appointment only. Staff continue to be available by phone or email.

North Perth is also opening all public playgrounds as of Friday. North Perth also plans to open the Kinette Splash Pad by July 24 on reduced hours.

North Perth staff are currently working on plans for the safe reopening of other municipal indoor facilities, including community centres and arenas. Municipalities are noting that though playgrounds are opening, disinfecting and cleaning won't be taking place regularly, so use at your own risk.
