Three new COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex

Public health officials in the London-area have confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

Saturday's newly confirmed cases brings the area’s total number since the start of the pandemic to 644.

Meanwhile, one additional person in the region recovered from the virus from Friday to Saturday. A total of 572 people in the London-area who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have since recovered.

Provincially, there were 166 new cases on Saturday, a 0.4 per cent increase from the previous day.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliot, although this is a slight increase from the past few days, there were still positive signs that the curve is continued to be flattened.

"28 of Ontario's 34 public health units are still reporting five or fewer cases, with 15 of them reporting no new cases," Elliot tweeted on Saturday.
