Three additional COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex

The Middlesex London Health Unit confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

The local case count now sits at 662.

Of the total number of cases, 114 are related to long-term care homes in the area while 69 are related to retirement homes. So far, 24 deaths have occurred in long-term care homes and 13 at retirement homes.

Meanwhile, a new outbreak was declared at the London Health Sciences Centre's Victoria Hospital Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

The latest outbreak is currently the only institutional outbreak in London-Middlesex.

No new cases were reported as being resolved from Friday to Saturday.

Elsewhere, the total number of confirmed cases across the province rose by 0.4 per cent on Saturday, bringing the caseload in Ontario to 38,543.
