Bruce County Library reopening soon

Bruce County Public Library is getting ready for regular in-person service which begins August 17 at all 17 branches of the Bruce County Public Library.

Curbside pickup service will continue to be offered for those who prefer that option.

People need to wear a mask, physically distance, and reserve public computers. Other public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include sanitizing hands when entering and only touching materials they intend to borrow. Capacity in each branch will be limited.

“Bruce County Public Library looks forward to safely reopening our branches so that we can return to the important work of being the “great equalizer” in our communities, ensuring computer access for those who have been without and getting materials in the hands of people who need them,” said Brooke McLean, director of library services.

A focus on the safety of staff and patrons continues to be the Library’s top priority, and branch hours of service will remain reduced to allow for additional cleaning. Programming will remain online, including Online Story Time every weekday at 3 pm on their Facebook page, and Online Trivia Nights on Mondays and Fridays. Digital materials and services are always available 24/7 at library.brucecounty.on.ca.
