Truck reported stolen in Kent Bridge

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips after a black pickup truck was reported stolen from the Kent Bridge area.

Officers said it was taken sometime overnight.

The vehicle is described as a 1999 GMC Sierra with larger tires and it was last seen with the Ontario licence plate AS81508.

Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Arrested for breaching court order and probation

Chatham-Kent police have arrested someone who allegedly violated his release conditions by attending a local business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police said the male was on probation and had been ordered not to be in the area of that business.

As a result, he was arrested for failing to comply and was taken to police headquarters pending a bail hearing.

Out past his curfew

In a separate incident, police arrested a second male who was currently on probation.

Police said they arrested him at approximately 3:45 a.m. on King Street in Chatham for breaching his curfew.

The accused was arrested and eventually released with a future court date.
