Police help with overdose

Chatham-Kent police officers had to give naloxone to a man who was found unconscious from an overdose.

Around 7 p.m. Sunday police responded to a local business for reports that two men were intoxicated in the washroom.

Officers arrived and found the two men in medical distress, with one man unresponsive and the other incoherent.

Police administered two doses of naloxone to the unresponsive male and he regained consciousness.

Both men were transported to the emergency room by EMS for treatment.

Multiple warrant arrests 

Police were able to locate several people across Chatham-Kent who were wanted on warrants.

While officers were on general patrol in Chatham, officers located a young offender who was wanted by Chatham-Kent police on multiple warrants for failing to comply with court conditions.

The youth was arrested and held in police custody until he could be turned over to a secure youth facility.

Then around 4:30 p.m. police got a call that a man wanted by CK police was in Dresden.

Officers responded to the area, located the man and arrested him on multiple warrants. He was processed by police and then transported to the South West Detention Centre.

Lastly, while on general patrol in Chatham police noticed a man walking in the area of Queen Street that was known to be on house arrest.

Officers arrested him and also found a cellphone, which the man was on court-ordered conditions not to possess.

He was charged with failing to comply with court orders and taken to the police station where he was held for bail.
