Two new COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex

Public health officials in the London-area have confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

Saturday’s newly confirmed cases bring the area’s total number since the start of the pandemic to 745.

Meanwhile, one additional person in the region recovered from the virus from Friday to Saturday. A total of 678 people in the London-area who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have since recovered.

Southwestern Public Health, the health unit that oversees Elgin and Oxford counties, reported one additional case on Saturday. The region’s total case count now sits at 256

Provincially, 232 new cases were reported on Saturday.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliot, 67 per cent of Saturday's cases are in people under the age of 40.
