Residential Hospice Grey Bruce hoping to raise some money with virtual garage sale

The Grey Bruce Residential Hospice is looking to raise some money with a new event.

With COVID-19 making it difficult to host in-person events, the hospice has partnered with new Canadian app Give Shop to raise money through a Grey Bruce virtual garage sale. Give Shop allows people to raise money for charity by purchasing gently used items on the platform.

All the proceeds from the items sold will go toward the replacement of the soft non-medical grade furnishings in the hospice's shared spaces at Chapman House in Owen Sound. This includes couches and chairs in the front lobby, the quiet room, family room and the children’s room.

Grey Bruce Hospice is hoping to raise $5,000 to help with this project through the virtual garage sale. More information on the event can be found at: https://www.greybrucehospice.com/the-great-grey-bruce-virtual-garage-sale.

Anyone who wants to make a direct donation can do so online at GreyBruceHospice.com or by calling Amy McConachie at 519-370-7239 Ext. 105.
