Hanover council has passed a motion to take down its COVID-19 recovery centre.
Council members came to the decision on a zoom call on Tuesday, October 13, which included Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra, who said he felt the recovery centre on the ice surface of the P&H Centre should stay open due to rising COVID-19 case numbers across the province.
The 50-bed centre was established in April.
The other options council voted on were to keep the centre open, as well as disassembly. Council voted to disassemble with the option of potentially reestablishing the centre if required.
