No new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario

Midwestern Ontario had no new Cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the latest public health updates Thursday.

Huron Perth Public Health reported four active cases and no new positive tests, the same as Wednesday.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen explained officials will respect privacy as much as possible when it comes to COVID-19 cases

"A specific location, such as a workplace or organization, will only be named if public notification will help to identify additional close contacts that cannot be determined through contact tracing," she said.

There are no facility outbreaks in Huron, Perth, Grey or Bruce counties

The number of active cases reported by the Grey Bruce Health Unit dropped by one, to six, along with one preliminary positive case pending confirmation. One person is in hospital.

Two previously reported preliminary positive cases were confirmed as false positive.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported no new cases in Wellington County Thursday. There are two active cases in Wellington, down from four Wednesday.
