Industrial accident in Chatham
The Ministry of Labour is investigating an industrial accident in Chatham that sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Chatham-Kent police said they responded to the scene on Park Avenue West shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A 44-year-old man was hurt during the incident, but the specific nature of his injuries was not disclosed.

Pair of men charged with assault
Two men in their 20's have been arrested after an 18-year-old man reported to police that he was assaulted on Wellington Street West in Chatham by two men he knows.
Police said the man shared that with officers at police headquarters Tuesday afternoon.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Wallaceburg man and a 24-year-old man of no fixed address were both arrested and charged with assault.

Man charged with stunt driving
A 40-year-old Raleigh Township man will have to get around without a driver's license or his vehicle after he was allegedly spotted going almost twice the speed limit on Talbot Trail in Chatham-Kent.
Police said an officer with the traffic unit recorded the man driving 158 kilometres per hour in a posted 80 km/h zone Tuesday morning.
The driver was then pulled over and charged with stunt driving. As a result, his license was suspended for seven days and his vehicle was towed from the scene and will be impounded for a week.

Chatham man charged with impaired driving after crash
A 62-year-old Chatham man is facing an impaired driving charge in connection with a three-vehicle crash that took place Tuesday evening on Park Avenue East near Queen Street in Chatham.
Police said no one was hurt as a result of the collision, but the damages were estimated at $65,000.
Investigators said an off-duty officer saw the crash and suspected the man responsible had been driving under the influence of alcohol. As a result, he was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment for breath tests.
A 62-year-old Chatham man was later charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and then released with a future court date.

Man smashes window with a pipe
A 37-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with mischief after he allegedly used a pipe to smash the window of a business on Queen Street in Chatham.
Police said an observant citizen witnessed the incident shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday and called it in.
The damage was estimated at $1,500.
Officers were able to track down a suspect a short distance away and arrested him. He was charged with mischief and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
