Another case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at a Catholic elementary school in Aylmer.
The London District Catholic School Board announced Wednesday that a third case had been confirmed this week at Assumption Catholic Elementary School.
"Parents/guardians and staff in the Assumption community have been notified of the case," the board said in a statement on its website. "Assumption will remain open and school buses will continue to operate."
Southwestern Public Health is in the process of identifying close contacts of the latest case. The health unit will only be contacting students and staff who are identified as close contacts. Anyone who is not contacted is not considered to be at risk. Those who are considered close contacts are being told to stay home and quarantine.
"Staff at Assumption will work with students and families to ensure learning continues for those who are self-isolating at home," the school board said.
