The Owen Sound Attack are adapting their annual Attack Hunger Campaign to the new reality of COVID-19.
The annual food drive event usually takes place the first Saturday home game every December, but with hockey on hold, the team is adjusting. Instead of a one-night event, the campaign will run for a full week, from November 30th to December 4th. This year the campaign will have three main drop-off locations, which are the IG Wealth Management office on the east side, the Attack office downtown and Foodland on the west side. This is the Attack Hunger Campaign's 7th year.
The Attack also distributed close to 600 Attack Hunger bags to season ticket members this week, hoping they will return them full for the campaign. Fans can also visit the Attack Shack online store and follow the Attack Hunger link to make a monetary donation to this year’s campaign. All donations over $10 will receive a charitable tax receipt directly from the Salvation Army.
