Huron Perth Public Health reports eighteen fatalities related to COVID-19 and 333 cases confirmed since the pandemic began. Currently, there are 52 active cases. 15 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours. There was one new case today in Central Huron and two in South Huron. North Perth has six new cases, there were two added in Perth East, one in Perth South and four in Stratford
There are confirmed cases at Goderich Collegiate in Goderich and Anne Hathaway elementary school in Stratford. There are 3 confirmed cases at St. Ambrose School. There are four cases at St. Mary's Catholic School in Listowel and three cohorts were sent home. None of the cases were contracted at the school.
Cedarcroft Retirement Home in Stratford continues to have a COVID-19 outbreak status. Sadly, another resident passed away from complications, after recovering from COVID-19. There have been 12 fatalities at Cedarcroft. An outbreak was declared at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton after a symptomatic staff person tested positive. Another outbreak was declared at Spruce Lodge in Stratford after an asymptomatic staff person tested positive during routine surveillance testing. The outbreak status continues for Northside Christian School and the school remains closed.
The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit added nine new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Monday, for a total of 50 active cases. There are also seven Active Probable Cases and 216 High Risk contacts associated with active cases. There were three new cases in Kincardine, two in Arran-Elderslie, one in Hanover , one in Grey Highlands, one in Southgate and one in West Grey.
There are currently no hospitalizations and there have been no fatalities. An outbreak continues at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Long-Term Care Home in Owen Sound.
Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health confirmed another 76 cases of the virus in that region since Friday. There are 174 active cases. 26 of those new cases were in Wellington, where there are 52 active cases, and three hospitalizations.
