Huron Perth Public Health reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, for a total of 50 active cases. Two are located in Southgate, one in West Grey, one in Saugeen Shores, and one in Saugeen First Nation. Three people are in hospital, and six health care workers are battling the virus.
Five of the new cases are in North Perth, three in Stratford, two in West Perth, two in Perth East, one in South Huron, one in North Huron, one in Morris Turnberry, one in Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh, and two in Howick.
An outbreak continues at Listowel Memorial Hospital, but the outbreak at Stratford General is over. There are outbreaks at two Long-term Care homes: Knollcrest Lodge in Perth East where one staff member was positive, and Exeter Villa in South Huron, where one staff member and one resident are sick. The outbreak at Cedarcroft Retirement Home in Stratford is under control
The Grey Bruce health Unit has reported five new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Monday. There are 34 active and 12 probable cases. There are 171 high risk contacts. Four people are in hospital due to the virus.
COVID-19 outbreaks are declared at The Village Seniors Long-Term Care in Hanover, and Errinrung Long-Term Care Home in Thornbury. The outbreak at Lee Manor in Owen Sound is now over.
Meantime, Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 133 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend. There are 315 active cases, and 18 hospitalizations. There have been 44 fatalities. 20 of the new cases are in Wellington County, where there are 44 active cases, and two hospitalizations. There have been five fatalities in Wellington due to COVID-19. An outbreak continues at Caressant Care in Arthur.
