TVDSB reports COVID-19 cases at three London area schools

While students have been on winter break for nearly two weeks now, the number of COVID-19 cases linked to London and area schools continues to rise.

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) reported new cases Wednesday night at A.B. Lucas Secondary School in London, Glendale High School in Tillsonburg, and Davenport Public School in Aylmer.

Officials with the Middlesex London Health Unit and Southwestern Public Health are working to notify close contacts of the infected individuals.

“If you do not receive a letter from Thames Valley indicating the public health unit has identified your child as a close contact, your child is not considered to be at risk,” the school board said in a statement. “Only those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact will be notified and advised to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days.”

There are currently 32 active COVID-19 cases within TVDSB schools. A full list of confirmed cases can be found by clicking here.
