One person hospitalized after pedestrian hit by vehicle in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a collision in Chatham that sent one person to the hospital earlier this week in what was considered critical, but stable condition.

Police said they were called to the scene on McNaughton Avenue East near Monarch Drive at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, adding that one male was injured as a result of the incident.

CKPS Staff Sergeant Michael Pearce confirmed with Blackburn News that as of Thursday afternoon, the patient was still in the ICU at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

No charges have been laid in connection with the case as the investigation is ongoing.
