13 new COVID-19 cases recorded in London-Middlesex

The London-area saw an increase of just 13 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

According to the Middlesex-London Health Unit, the regional case count is now at 6,018 overall. There are currently 201 active cases.

Twenty more people recovered from the virus over the past 24 hours. So far, 5,636 individuals have recovered from the virus in the region.

There were no new deaths reported on Sunday, with the local death toll remaining at 181.

The number of institutional outbreaks in the region remains at six. An outbreak was declared at Dearness Home on Saturday. However, an outbreak within Henley Place LTC Residence was listed as being resolved.

Ten schools in London-Middlesex are currently reporting COVID-19 cases. An outbreak has been declared at Caradoc North Public School and Clara Brenton Public School.

Nine new cases were reported Sunday in Elgin and Oxford counties, according to Southwestern Public Health. The latest cases bring the total case count up to 2,433.

Elsewhere, health officials in Ontario reported 981 additional cases on Sunday. The case count in Ontario now sits at 285,868.
