BREAKING: Body found in Thames River

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a body was found in the Thames River in Dover Township.

Officers responded to a report of a human body Monday morning in the river along Grande River Line.

With help from Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services, the body was recovered from the Thames River.

Police are assisting the Coroner's Office with the investigation and a post-mortem has been scheduled in London on Tuesday.

More information is expected to be released once it becomes available.
