Environment Canada issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for London and Middlesex County, Elgin County, Chatham-Kent, Windsor and Essex County, and Lambton County on Wednesday.
Forecasters reported conditions were ripe for the development of potentially severe thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening.
The weather agency called off the storm threat for the area by early Wednesday evening.
