Pair of intoxication charges 

Two people had to spend some time with police after a pair of separate arrests for intoxication in Chatham.

On Saturday night, officers responded to a call about a suspicious person on Richmond Street.

The person was found on the caller's porch. As a result, the 35-year-old Chatham man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

Elsewhere, around 9 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Alexandra Avenue.

Officers attempted to calm a 23-year-old man at the scene but were ultimately unsuccessful.

He was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

Both men were released on Sunday morning once they were sober.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

A call about a suspicious vehicle is to thank for an arrest in Tilbury.

Police responded to the call around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle was located on Mill Street.

Through investigation, police learned that the driver was currently bound by a daily curfew between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. In addition, he was also a suspended driver.

The 39-year-old was charged with breaching his court-ordered curfew and driving while suspended.
