COVID-19 case count increases at a steady pace Friday

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added five new cases of COVID-19 Friday, two in Georgian Bluffs, two in Saugeen Shores, and one in Arran-Elderslie. There are 48 active cases, including 32 active variants. 157 people are high risk contacts.  In all, There have been 1,234 confirmed cases and four deaths in Grey Bruce. Another two Grey Bruce residents passed away with the virus outside of the region.

There are ten new cases in Huron Perth. Public health reported 42 active cases including 22 variants. There is one person in hospital.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added another 54 cases today,  nine of them in Wellington.   There are 371 active cases, including 92 in Wellington.   Across the region, 23 people are hospitalized with the virus, and 13 are in the ICU.
