Local COVID cases up 19, active infections climb to 90

Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 case count increased by 19 Thursday.

Lambton Public Health said there's been 3,369 cases since the pandemic began over a year ago, 3,223 are considered resolved, an increase of seven. The number of active cases is up 12 to 90.

Cases involving variants of concern has climbed to 483 since March 3rd.

The local death toll stands at 56, unchanged since April 24.

There's four institutional and workplace outbreaks.

Bluewater Health had 17 COVID-positive patients in hospital, unchanged in the last 24 hours.
