Pair of break and enters in Chatham

Police are investigating after two separate break and enters in Chatham over the last few days.

Sometime between May 11 and May 15, unknown suspects entered a garage on Colborne Street.

Once inside, the culprits took a lawnmower, wagon and tools. The total value of the goods is estimated at around $300.

Meanwhile, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, suspected forced their way into a residence on Park Street, causing $200 in damage.

Once inside, two cameras and two modems were stolen, with a value of around $500.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Warrant arrests 

Three people have future court dates after a trio of separate warrant arrests across Chatham-Kent on Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of an unwanted man near a business on Bloomfield Road in Chatham.

Officers located the man and learned that he was wanted. The 48-year-old of no fixed address was arrested and released with a future court date.

Elsewhere, police located a man in Chatham who was wanted for failing to attend court.

The 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and later released pending a future court date.

Elsewhere in Blenheim, officers located a man who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 41-year-old from Blenheim was arrested, given a future court date and eventually released.
