Bluewater Health reports another COVID-related death

For the third day in a row, Bluewater Health is reporting a COVID-19 death.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 46 deaths linked to the virus at the hospital.

Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said in the last 48 hours, one patient from Lambton and another from outside the county have died.

Lambton Public Health reported the area's 57 related death on Sunday, an individual in their 90's.

Oosterman said there are 12 COVID-positive patients at the hospital, down two from Sunday. She said four are in intensive care, three are vented.

The health unit reported 12 new confirmed cases Monday, up to 3,410 since March 2020. The number of cases deemed resolved increased by 10 to 3,265, increasing the active case count by two to 88.

There are five institutional and workplace outbreaks, up one.
