Just three new COVID-19 cases added Tuesday in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added no new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

There are still 20 active cases, five of them are variants of concern.  47 high-risk contacts are self-isolated. No residents are in hospital with the virus. But five patients have been transferred to local ICUs from other region.

Huron Perth Public health added three new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, two in West Perth and one in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh (ACW). There are now two people in hospital with the virus. In all there are 24 active cases, and twelve of them are variants of concern. 156 contacts are currently self-isolating.  There are active cases in ACW, Central Huron, Bluewater, Huron East, Goderich, North Huron, West Perth, Perth South and North Perth.

Public Health officials added no new cases of COVID-19 in Wellington County Tuesday. There are 21 active cases.  40 fatalities in Wellington are now blamed on the pandemic.  Across the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health region, there were three new cases, and there 119 are active cases. Ten people are in hospital, and another four are in the ICU.  There is one workplace outbreak.
