Serious motorcycle collision in Tupperville

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a motorcycle crash in Tupperville that sent a 31-year-old Wallaceburg man to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police said they were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on John Park Line at around 5:30 a.m. Thursday and that their initial investigation shows the man was driving east on that road when he lost control of his motorcycle.

Officers said the man was first rushed to the hospital in Wallaceburg, then transferred to a hospital in London via Ornge air ambulance.

The Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Dan Carroll at dancar@chatham-kent.ca or 519-352-1092.

Workplace injury involving nail gun

The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation into an industrial accident at a residence under construction in Chatham.

Police said their investigation showed that a 36-year-old man had sustained an injury from a nail gun.

He was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.

The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man in connection with a fraud investigation.
