Only five new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Sarnia-Lambton to start off the month of July.
Friday's update includes COVID-19 numbers from Thursday as the last update was made on June 30.
Lambton Public Health has reported a total of 3,605 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
Five recoveries were also reported, which brings the total number of resolved cases up to 3,515.
The number of active cases remains at 28, unchanged from Wednesday.
One active outbreak remains at Afton Park Place.
Bluewater Health is caring for two patients with COVID-19, which is an increase of one from July 1.
As part of the slow shift to recovery mode, Bluewater Health will no longer be reporting COVID-19 numbers on weekends. Updates will continue to be made Monday to Friday. However, if the province moves back to Stage One of its Roadmap to Reopen, the hospital will return to reporting seven days a week.
The province has accelerated second dose eligibility for youth to become fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus. Starting on Monday at 8 a.m., those 12 years of age and older will be able to book a second dose appointment to receive the Pfizer vaccine.
