Half a dozen warrant arrests across CK

Chatham-Kent police were kept busy over the past 24 hours with several different arrests for outstanding warrants.

On Thursday morning, a wanted local man was located in Windsor.

According to police, he was wanted for failing to attend court for his fingerprints, being in possession of property obtained in a crime, breach of probation, and theft.

The 24-year-old of no fixed address was arrested, transported back to Chatham-Kent, and eventually released with a future court date.

On Thursday afternoon, officers located a man on St. Clair Street in Chatham who was wanted for domestic-related offences.

While he was being searched by police, the man was allegedly found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.

As a result, the 25-year-old from Chatham was also charged with two counts of drug possession and released with a future court date.

Around 7 p.m. Thursday, police located a man in a parking lot on Keil Drive in Chatham who was wanted for failing to attend court, theft, being in possession of property obtained by a crime, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and committing an indecent act.

The 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Early Friday morning, officers responded to the report of suspicious man hanging around a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

Officers located the man and through investigation, learned that he was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 28-year-old of no fixed address was arrested and released with a future court date.

Shortly after, around 2 a.m., police located a woman walking in downtown Chatham who was wanted for drug possession and failing to attend court.

The 27-year-old Chatham woman was  was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Meanwhile, around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the report of a man in someone's backyard on Lafontaine Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers located the man hiding under the porch. Through investigation, police learned that he was wanted for failing to attend court, fraud, uttering forged document, being in possession of property obtained by a crime, break and enter, mischief and failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.
