Man charged for public intoxication
A 51-year-old man is facing a public intoxication charge after being found outside of a building on King Street West in Chatham.
Police say the man was outside of the building and unable to care for himself.
The man was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters and released this morning once he was sober.

Man facing multiple charges following break and enter, vehicle theft
Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old Chatham man after allegedly breaking into a business on Splinter Line in Thamesville.
Police the business owner watched the man steal a vehicle from the property over video surveillance. The vehicle was later found abandoned.
Police located the suspect walking away from the vehicle and placed the man under arrest. He was transported to police headquarters with charges for break and enter, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, two counts of failing to comply with release orders, and possession of CDSA and multiple highway traffic act charges.
The man was lodged until a bail hearing.

Public disturbance leads to arrest
Police were called to the area of Oriole Parkway about a suspicious person who was seen using an illicit drug in front of residents.
Police say the man became irate and was placed under arrest for cause of disturbance, resisting arrest and possession of CDSA.
The man was later released with a future court date on September 22.
