Active COVID-19 case count increases to 99

Lambton Public Health reported a double digit increase in new COVID-19 cases Monday.

In its daily update, the health unit reported 11 new confirmed infections up to 3,919 since the start of the pandemic, and seven more cases have been deemed resolved for a total of 3,750.

That increases the number of active cases by four to 99.

There are four active outbreaks. Three cases are linked to the latest outbreak declared on Sunday at an unnamed workplace.

Bluewater Health has four COVID-positive patients in hospital, up from two on Sunday.

The Lambton Kent District School Board and the St. Clair Catholic District School Board, are reporting confirmed student cases at a total of eight Sarnia-Lambton elementary and secondary schools.
