11 new COVID cases recorded in Sarnia-Lambton

Lambton Public Health reported 11 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton Saturday.

There were 12 resolved cases reported, lowering the active case count by one to 79.

There have been 4,059 cases of the virus in the community since the pandemic began in March 2020, of which 3,910 have been deemed resolved.

The death toll remains at 70 and there are five active outbreaks.

On Friday, the health unit declared outbreaks at Cathcart Boulevard Public School and at Gregory A. Hogan Catholic School. Fewer than five cases are linked to each incident.
