A 38-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after police allegedly found thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs during a traffic stop on Spencer Avenue in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said an officer on general patrol pulled the vehicle over Sunday night and allegedly found some suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and oxycontin during the investigation.
Police said the drugs they seized have an estimated street value of $23,100.
The accused was arrested and charged with two counts of drug trafficking and one count of drug possession.
He was later released pending a future court date.
