Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Strong wind gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour are expected Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening.
This will be caused by a cold front coming into the area around that time.
The weather service warns the high winds could toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
A Special Weather Statement ended Saturday morning after heavy rainfall was expected in the region Friday night into Saturday. The windy and rainy forecast has caused the Essex Region Conservation Authority to issue multiple shoreline and watershed statements.
