Woman arrested on an outstanding warrant

Police said that a 31-year-old Chatham woman was located in the area of King Street West and found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with her release order.

The woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was processed and held for a bail hearing.

Man charged with mischief over $5000

Chatham-Kent police said that on February 5, 2022, a woman returned to her home, which had been ransacked.

Upon investigation, police determined that the woman's estranged husband had caused extensive damage to both, their joint property as well as the woman’s personal property.

Police charged the man with mischief over $5000.

He has received a court date of March 4, 2022.

Pair of arrests surrounding domestic disputes

Police have arrested a 21-year-old Wallaceburg man after a dispute with his mother and girlfriend.

It was reported that the man assaulted and threatened both women and caused damage to his mother’s residence.

Police said he was arrested without incident.

The man now faces several assault, uttering threats, and mischief charges and has a court date of March 4, 2022.

Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic dispute in the area of Richmond Street on February 5, 2022.

A 24-year-old Dresden man was arrested for domestic assault, assault with a weapon, and mischief.

Police said that several incidents over the last year were disclosed as well as the current incident.

The accused was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was processed and released with a court date of March 11, 2022.
