Pair caught pulling a stolen wagon in Ridgetown 

Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a 40-year-old Chatham man and a 43-year-old Thamesville man after they were caught pulling a stolen wagon in Ridgetown.

Police said the two men were observed pulling the wagon in Ridgetown Friday afternoon.

Through investigation, police learned that the wagon was stolen.

The pair were both arrested and charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5,000.

They were both released with a future court date. The property was returned to the rightful owner.

Chatham man charged after failing to comply with court orders 

A 27-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged after he was found at the home of a woman he was not to communicate with.

Police said the man was released from court on September 8, 2021 with several conditions, two stating that he was not communicate with a specifc Chatham woman or attend her home.

Around 7 a.m. Friday, police were called to the woman's home for a disturbance and located the man on her property.

The man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release order. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
