Red Mustang convertible reported stolen

Chatham-Kent police are asking for your help to track down a red 2003 Ford Mustang convertible that was reported stolen from a residence in Dover Township.

Police said it was taken sometime over the past couple of weeks, adding that it was last seen with Ontario license plates AXRH 106.

Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Stick to a 9 p.m. routine to protect yourself against crime

Chatham-Kent police are encouraging local residents to develop and stick to a 9 p.m. routine to prevent crimes of opportunity.

Officers said every night at 9 p.m., homeowners are encouraged to ensure the following checklist is complete:

- remove valuables and your garage door opener from your vehicle

- lock your vehicles

- close your overhead garage door

- lock the door between your garage and your house

- close and lock all external doors

- ensure windows are closed and locked

- turn on an exterior light
