Even when Ontario's mask mandates expire on March 21, they'll still be required in certain settings in Sarnia-Lambton.
The Sarnia-Lambton Ontario Health Team said mandates locally will also remain in place at primary care offices and clinics, nurse practitioner led clinics (Twin Bridges) and community health centres (North Lambton and Grand Bend CHC’s).
The team said in a news release that it also considers these settings to be high-risk and, as a result, masking requirements will remain for patients, companions to appointments, and all staff.
The release said primary care providers tend to some of the most vulnerable people in the community and as health care providers, the team has an obligation to keep these patients and staff as safe as possible.
