Police make several arrests on outstanding warrants 

Chatham-Kent police arrested five people who were wanted on separate outstanding warrants.

A 51-year-old man, known to be wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court, was arrested after being located by an officer on patrol in Chatham.

Police said he was taken to police headquarters and held for bail.

Officers also located a 43-year-old man, wanted on a warrant, in the area of Byng Avenue in Chatham on Thursday.

He was released with a May 4 court date.

A 25-year-old woman was brought into custody after police responded to a trespassing call Thursday evening at a business on St. Clair Street.

Police said they learned the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant by the Ontario Provincial Police which resulted in her being arrested and turned over to the OPP.

A 54-year-old woman turned herself in at police headquarters for failing to attend a warrant.

Police said she was released with a future court date.

A 23-year man also went to police headquarters in the evening to turn himself in on a warrant for assault causing bodily harm.

He was released with a future court date.
