Alberta man arrested after house call 

A 51-year-old Alberta man is facing charges after police responded to an unwanted person call at a residence in Wheatley.

Police said they learned the man was on conditions to not attend the residence or communicate with the man residing there.

The man was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and another count of failing to comply with his release order.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Wallaceburg man arrested for causing a disturbance while drunk 

A 21-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing charges after causing a disturbance at a residence in Wallaceburg that he was not supposed to be at.

Police said the man was released from court on January 7 with several conditions, two of them stating he was supposed to stay a specific address and not be outside with alcohol in his system.

Officers said that when they tried placing the man under arrest he resisted.

He has been charged with two counts of failing to comply and resisting a peace officer.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police make four separate arrests involving intoxication

Around 10:00 p.m. Friday, police responded to the report of a man lying in the middle of Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham.

Police said that for his safety, the 20-year-old man was taken into custody and was later charged public intoxication.

He was released when sober.

A 42-year-old man is facing a charge for being publicly intoxicated after police located the man on Young Street in Tilbury around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police said that for his safety, the man was was taken into custody. He was charged and later released.

A 21-year-old man is facing an impaired driving charge after an early morning traffic stop in the area of Richmond Street in Chatham.

Police said the man was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

A 36-year-old Chatham woman is facing an impaired driving charge after police initiated a traffic stop in the area of Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Officers said the woman was also taken to headquarters but then refused to provide breath samples.

Police said she was charged and later released with a future court date.

Three arrested on separate outstanding warrants 

A 40-year-old Chatham man, who was known to police, was arrested after police on general patrol located him Friday afternoon in the area of King Street West.

He was brought to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

A 30-year-old Chatham man who was wanted on Canada Wide Warrant was arrested Wednesday by officers from the Edmonton Police Service.

Police said they went to Edmonton and returned the man to Chatham for the warrants of failing to appear for his sentencing.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 43-year-old Chatham man was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Friday after officers found him on Queens Line.

Officers said they learned through investigation that the man was wanted for failing to attend court.

The man was taken to police headquarters and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
