Chatham man charged with mischief 

A 36-year-old Chatham man has been charged with mischief after damaging a door inside police headquarters while waiting to go before the court for an unrelated matter.

Police said the man was arrested again and charged. He was held in custody pending another bail hearing.

Wallaceburg man arrested following traffic stop 

Chatham-Kent police arrested a 31-year-old Wallaceburg man after a traffic stop on Bluewater Line revealed the driver had been driving with a suspended license and an outstanding warrant.

The man was later released with a future court date.

Police cross one name off outstanding warrant list 

A Chatham woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant after police responded to a disturbance call in the area of Queen Street and Harvey Street on Saturday.

She was released with a future court date.

Vacant Dresden home broken into a second time

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a vacant home on Camden Street in Dresden was broken into for a second time this weekend.

Police said a witness saw two unknown people entering the home Saturday night. Officers searched the vacant home, but no one was found inside.

Female arrested after causing drunken disturbance in public 

A 25-year-old woman from Merlin spent some time behind bars late Saturday night after causing a disturbance at a bar on King Street.

Police said the woman was later released when she was sober.
