The average daily number of new COVID cases in Sarnia-Lambton is holding steady in the 30s.
Lambton Public Health reported 26 new lab confirmed cases of virus since its last report on Monday. The average number of cases per day over the last seven days is 34.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 11, 413 confirmed cases in Sarnia-Lambton and 138 deaths.
Nearly half of the residents at Lambton's Meadowview Villa have contracted COVID-19 in the long-term care home's latest outbreak declared on April 7. The health unit said 61 residents and nine staff members have tested positive for the virus. It is one of four active outbreaks in the community.
Bluewater Health is caring for 12 COVID-positive patients in Sarnia, fewer than five are in the ICU.
